A novel for all ages

Sometimes, when you sit down and write, you have a specific reader in mind. Other times the readers you're targeting may be a little more vague. When I wrote The Red Scarf, I had in mind ages 10 and up. However, my readers turned out to be a lot older than ten. Out of nearly 10,000 books sold, the vast majority were sold to adults. I've added a review to this post that tells it all.
Review:
"I absolutely loved The Red Scarf!!! It's one of those rare works that anyone, no matter who, can read -- from a 12-year-old boy to an 84-year-old female, it has something for everyone. This is the best book I've read in awhile, and I could not put it down. I actually shed some tears over it, it was that good!" -- --Angela Cruz, Anchor/Producer/NBC 10 News Today
